GC University Library subscribed thousands of electronic books and offer online access to the users. These books are available through world's renowned publishers and covers wide spectrum of academic disciplines like natural sciences, technology, social sciences and humanities.

The above online services are available to staff and students of GC University. Under the terms of the license agreements no individual staff or students are permitted to make additional copies, publish, distribute, sell or modify any of the information found on the databases listed below. Any breaches of these terms could result in the University's subscription to the relevant database being discontinued by the HEC. All the resources are available on national level licenses. Users are bound to use these resources under copyright laws. Any authorized or enrolled researcher/teacher/student of GC University can access the ejournals & ebooks and different databases within the GCU Campus as well as library. Person having access will be strictly bound to obey copyright laws for convenient services.

Ebrary continues to add quality e-Books and other authoritative titles to their selection from the world's leading academic and professional publishers. Ebrary also subscribes to Academic Complete, a growing e-Book collection that spans all academic subject areas. Ebrary offer online access to thousands of books covering all subject areas.   • Browse – Ebrary offers the utility of browsing by subjects or publishers.

  • Search — using simple or advanced, by keyword, full-text, publisher, author, and more. View results ranked by book or chapter.

  • Open a book by clicking on the title name or jacket. No downloads or installations are required.

  •  Explore the document by navigating to search terms, searching for key words, jumping to relevant chapters, and flipping through pages.

Campus wide network access Springer E-Books

 

Springer, a renowned publisher, offer an online access to 7705 e-books to GCU community. Springer's e-books are available on perpetual access i.e. fully downloadable. These books cover a wide range of disciplines published recent years.

 

How to access E-Books

The access to above 40,000 e-books provided by Higher Education Commission is available to institutions registered with HEC Digital Library only. The access is enabled through IP authentication so there is no username and password for access.

 Please visit www.springerlink.com/books and then follow these steps:

  • In the "copyright section" expand 2000-2009 time period.

  • Next choose one-by-one years of 2005, 2006, and 2007 in the "copyright section".

  • Choose the collections, as mentioned above,  in the "subject" area.

  • From the list, select the available books (indicated by green box) and then click on title of the book.

  • The chapters of the books are displayed with their PDF which can be opened, downloaded and print in full.
